Sean O’Reilly of Boston’s 3D Printsmith will talk about 3D Printing. Sean's talk will include:

  • A (brief) overview of how various 3D Printing methods work
  • Different methods of scanning objects
  • Current and future applications including Medical uses

3D Printing is a popular topic at the moment and the processes involved from scanning to printing can be time-consuming and complicated. After this talk you will have a good idea of how 3D Printing works, what’s involved in scanning a object to be modeled or printed, and have an overview of the current applications that 3D Printing is being used for, and possible future applications.
