The Broad Institute has a substantial effort underway to move their high-performance computing environment over to run on top of an all-openstack substrate.  Chris Dwan, Assistant Director of Research Computing and Data Services at the Broad, will speak on openstack, object storage, and global authentication via oAuth.

Please join us on Thursday, November 13th as Christopher Dwan (Assistant Director, Research Computing and Data Services at the Broad Institute) will be presenting on various topics including:
  • Openstack
  • Object storage
  • Global authentication via oAuth
The Broad has been migrating their high performance computing environment to an all-Openstack substrate and Christopher will also touch on this.
We will meet in Seeley Mudd 106 (SGM-106) starting at Noontime on Thursday November 13th. The talk will start at approximately 12.15pm.
Please RSVP by replying to this email, so that we can ensure that we have enough lunch for everyone, if we get a huge response we may move to another location. We will follow up with more details as we get closer.
Feel free to let us know if there's other areas you'd like Christopher to cover. If we’re unable to cover them, there will be at least 30 - 45 minutes after the talk for Q/A.
You need a Harvard ID to enter Seeley Mudd, we'll be watching the door and letting people in. If you can’t gain entry, please wait a minute!
We look forward to see you all!
