You may have noticed that the number of ABCD-LMA talks has dropped off precipitously over the past year.  Well, we're hoping to rectify that in 2017, but we need your help! Please consider suggesting a speaker or subject for future talks, or even volunteer to give one yourself! Any topic that might be of interest to our technically-inclinded audience is fair game -- it doesn't strictly have to be about IT and work, it could be something technical and fun! Or even not-so-technical, if you think it might be of sufficient interest.  Just let us know.  Email ideas to:

Nov 13 2014 -- Chris Dwan, The Broad Institute & Upcoming Events

November 13, 2014

Today, Nov 13th 2014, Chris Dwan will be talking about the use of OpenStack at the Broad.  Looking forward to an interesting talk and a lively discussion.  Hope to see you all there!

Coming up in December (tentative) we'll have Chris Ahlberg coming to talk about something regarding Big Data and security.  Details to follow!

In January we are hoping to have a talk on Linux security, including a hacking demo! More details after we finalize things with our speaker.

 

Social Event Aftermath

Thanks to everyone who was able to make it out last month for our first-ever Fall social.  Also, apologies to those of you who couldn't make it due to it being Rosh Hashana.  Next time we'll do a better job of checking the holiday calendar before scheduling such an event!
